About This Song

We were in the studio throwing around ideas for a new Teenmaar tune. The inspiration for Teenmaar Beat Drums came from the desire for an energetic yet simple beat, one that was both contemporary and traditional.

We started recording the basic Teenmaar beat, and then, layering in a couple of drums, fills and electronic hits. Some “mistakes” we committed actually contributed wonderfully and became the character of the Teenmaar beat, which is one of positives of music making. My friend suggested we could play around with altering the tempo by small variations in place of the original to make the track live better as music; which we instantly agreed was brilliant.

A few hours later, after messing around, and polishing the track, Teenmaar Beat Drums was emerging as a fun, and balanced track which captured the Teenmaar spirit - yet one that also reflected the fun and energy of our creative process of making music.
